Healthy Nutrition Made Easy
What is Nutrition Therapy?
Nutrition Therapy uses diet and lifestyle changes to support ‘optimum health’.
Nutrition Therapy offers an analysis of your current health status and risks by giving you time to discuss your concerns, taking a detailed health history and by using state of the art laboratory testing.
Your Nutrition Therapist may also use supplements to correct imbalances or to give general support for specific health problems.
But can’t I get all the nutrients I need from my diet?
A balanced diet can still leave you deficient, depending on your body’s specific needs, which can change according to your age, genetic make-up, if you suffer from stress, smoke, are pregnant or menopausal. Government studies show that nutrient deficiency is common, which means we are not getting the nutrients we need from our food.

How can Nutrition Therapy help?
The body has an amazing capacity to heal itself if it is given the opportunity to do so. Each person has his/her specific needs, which may change according to your life circumstances and your genetic makeup. Nutrition therapy aims at uncovering these specific needs and to give the body the nutrients it needs to restore health. Each nutrition program is individually tailored to correct your specific imbalances and to promote healing.
Visiting your Nutrition Therapist
Private consultations
You will be asked to fill in a Nutrition Program Questionnaire prior to the consultation. The initial consultation involves a 1 hour in depth analysis of your health problems and provides you with an individually tailored Nutrition Program. This is followed up by 1/2 hours consultations, usually at 1, 3 and 6 months.

Testing
State of the art testing is provided. Many tests are non-invasive and can be easily carried out at home (saliva, stool, urine or pin prick blood), whereas other may require a referral to a diagnostic testing clinic (full blood sample).
The Clinic
The clinic is particularly focused towards Female Hormonal Health and Wellbeing and is based in the Town Center of Düsseldorf.
The therapist, Tove Schränkler, is educated at the Institute for Optimum Nutrition, London, one of the foremost nutritional institutions in the UK. She is also a German Heilpraktiker and a member of the German Association of Nutrition (Deutsche Gesellschaft für Ernährung).
